Boho Styled Shoot With Katrina Serene

Updated: Nov 6, 2018

Everything about this shoot is nothing short of amazing and it took some really great wedding professionals to all come together to make it what is was...STUNNING!

For several months, Katrina Serene, owner of Katrina Serene Photography, and ourselves messaged, called, texted, pinned, met in person etc.,etc. to discuss the details of what we wanted this day to be. Every ounce of correspondence made us very aware that three elements were vital in this shoot. Moss , candles and plum and burgundy palette were all a must. We knew the moment that the word "moss" was mentioned that our overlook here at the farm would be the heart of this shoot. Our overlook has been a special space for many of our brides to capture first looks and bridal shots as well as family photos and engagement sessions since we opened here early March of this year. There are many tall trees with intricate root patterns sprawling the grounds that are beautifully covered in lush green moss that gave us one of our elements naturally. The views from the top of this wooded amazement provides the most unique beauty in all of the farm and when we mentioned to Katrina that this would be where the majority of the shoot should take place, she did not hesitate to trust our instincts and agreed. Walking the top of the overlook that day, we took our gorgeous model, Olivia, and surrounded her with candles everywhere between the roots of the largest and oldest tree atop of the hill. Showcasing those roots covered in all that moss just begged for light florals to be gently draped on them as if they were meant to be. The florals provided by The Tilted Tulip were perfection and pulled the gorgeous bohemian details from the bridal gown from Southern Belle Bridal front and center. The extra stems and eucalyptus were used to create a last minute floral crown that we honestly couldn't have asked to be any more perfect than what it was. Dusting off our floral skills came in handy for the day but, if it were not for our gorgeous model, none of this would have been what it was. Day one of planning we knew Olivia was made for this shoot and this moment captured in time. Magical. Simply and utterly magical. From the custom cookie favors by Gimme Sugah, the vintage chairs and sweetheart table from Flowers by Tammy, makeup and hair by Beauty by Liv, the gorgeous cake by Kathy Clowers and the talented eye and amazing craft of our photographer, Katrina, this day was a collaboration of some of the best wedding professionals in our area and we hope to see everyone working together on many occasions in the future as well.
